850 Engine Swap

We never were able to find out what it was. The stamping on it was ripped off and we just decided to move on. We were going to replace a part the make the transmission run smoother but the current part is still able to work so we're just going to move on with it. We're waiting on the shop to put the remaining seals on and then we'll get it back. It's been so long and I'm just so happy to get it back soon and get my car running again. It just hurts me to see it sitting on jacks in my garage.

Sorry I’ve been inactive for a while, I still haven’t done much. I’ve just been very busy but in 2 weeks my schedule frees up a lot so I’ll be able to work on it almost all day. I’m kinda glad I didn’t put it in yet because a guy that my dad met has a k24 turbo form a s60r with all of the necessary things for it along with the exhaust manifold from it. He gave us a very good deal for it so I’m buying it and putting that in. It would require a retune but I’ll be able to figure that out.

Not quite. Still needs a bit of work. I should have the engine ready to go into the car next week. I’ll be gone for the weekend at the imsa race but then I’ll hopefully drop it back in the car when I get back. The k24 changed the whole process so I’ve had to order new parts to make it work on the 850 engine and I’m just waiting on a few parts and then it shouldn’t be much longer once they come.

Still isn’t running, we’ve ran into a lot of issues and have had to replace parts on the engine so it still isn’t in. Engine should be going in this week or next and then I can start making a lot more progress. It’s taking me a bit as this is my first project car so I’m learning as I go and teaching myself but hopefully it’ll done soonish.

It's been a while and I honestly forgot about this forum. It's been running for a bit now. Had a few issues here and there but now it's just an oil leak I need to fix and some data logging and retuning. It's got some power behind it but haven't got the chance to really let it loose.
