Not quite. Still needs a bit of work. I should have the engine ready to go into the car next week. I’ll be gone for the weekend at the imsa race but then I’ll hopefully drop it back in the car when I get back. The k24 changed the whole process so I’ve had to order new parts to make it work on the 850 engine and I’m just waiting on a few parts and then it shouldn’t be much longer once they come.

Funny how a simple engine replacement snowballs into making a race car lol. Been there

Sorry I’ve been inactive for a while, I still haven’t done much. I’ve just been very busy but in 2 weeks my schedule frees up a lot so I’ll be able to work on it almost all day. I’m kinda glad I didn’t put it in yet because a guy that my dad met has a k24 turbo form a s60r with all of the necessary things for it along with the exhaust manifold from it. He gave us a very good deal for it so I’m buying it and putting that in. It would require a retune but I’ll be able to figure that out.

We never were able to find out what it was. The stamping on it was ripped off and we just decided to move on. We were going to replace a part the make the transmission run smoother but the current part is still able to work so we're just going to move on with it. We're waiting on the shop to put the remaining seals on and then we'll get it back. It's been so long and I'm just so happy to get it back soon and get my car running again. It just hurts me to see it sitting on jacks in my garage.

Yeah you're a bit lit lol but I still have the engine and I'm planning on taking it apart and repairing it. I've done some research and found a guy with the same sound coming from his engine as me so I'm like 90% sure I bent a rod but I'll just have to wait and see once I take it apart. Were still waiting on information on the transmission to see what one it is. The stamping on the top was removed so the only thing we can go off of is the vin and we were given was not the correct one. Were trying to replace the synchro ring in the transmission but we need the type of transmission first.

    Hi There,
Just saw this thread and I'll chip in - he does not have a burn valve. the signs/symptoms of a burnt valve would be a constant misfire at all rpm's and loss of power. BTDT.
Mine continued to run for 4 months as a daily driver with one while I was sourcing a head out of a salvage yard and rebuilding it on my workbench.

We're at a current halt. We're not sure what transmission it is and we need to replace the a part on it but the vin they gave us says that the transmission is a AWD one but it's a FWD one. We're trying to figure it out but so far nothing.

I've already ordered a tuned ecu and that comes with the cop conversion. Aaron from Vast Tuning Sends a wiring harness and everything for the cop and all you need to get yourself in the ignition coil.
