Guess I need to add my '06 here, 169,000 rides, runs and (almost) looks new; just tinted the windows and changed the entertainment to a touch-screen andriod deal with 4G wifi, GPS/NAV, hands-free phone etc... just have to work out a little of the trim yet, but nice to have some up-to-date electronics in there!

THIS is pretty much the same unit there are multiple sellers of these on ebay and amazon - LINK
I also purchased This wiring harness - so I did not have to alter the original factory harness at all - LINK
For mounting everything flush, I had to do a little grinding and add a couple of holes to the mounting brackets that came with the radio to get it to sit flush, Once I was satisfied with the way it layed in the dash, I did have to trim some material from the back of the wood trim in order to allow the trim to flush over the touch screen and fully engage the mounting holes and then located and drilled a small hole in the wood trim to access the microphone on the top left of the touchscreen.
I then placed the GPS antenna under the "speaker" grill in the center of the dash - this way it is hidden from view and functions quite well. next (and the most time consuming portion of the project) was routing the wiring for the reverse camera from the head unit to the rear bumper - I tapped the hot wire of the camera to the reverse lamp hot wire.
Six months in and everything is working perfectly! - it's so nice to have access to fault codes on-screen when something pops up!
I just purchased a parking sensor kit that I'm about to add - oddly enough, that piece cost as much as the radio did, but money well spent if it saves me from dinging up the front splitter! - I'm also looking into adding blind-spot alert to - Here is the LINK for the parking sensor kit.
I could not be happier with this upgrade on my car! - the convenience it offers is great, and make makes the car feel very up-to-date...I always get people who ride in the car remarking that it's so much more functional than what they have in their car - or how much they wish their car had a display as large as this! I do believe it is going to be one of the few circumstances that add resale value to a car - (although I have ZERO intention of selling this cr anytime in the foreseeable future).
If you decide to attempt it on yours feel free to let me know if you have any questions, I'm always happy to help out the Volvo community!2006 S-80 - the daily
