2004 XC70 58K miles - MECHANIC'S SPECIAL
Awesome 2004 XC70 with about 58,000 miles. A NY salvage reexported to the US by a military service member in 2014. All customs forms in order, but no US title. Salvage title requirements vary by state. This is not your car if you are not familiar with the requirements or don't want to research them. The car drove fine all over Europe (from Turkey to the UK and to Germany with 10 other countries in between) and along the US East Coast until I decided to make it a project in 2016. Then I got two kids. No car projects in my future for the next eight or ten years. Located in the Raleigh-Durham area in NC.
$3,000 ORBO. The price is adjusted for the vehicle's present condition. A barely running car with under 60K and a title would easily go for over $8,000. This one runs like a charm when put together.
The car NEEDS:
- new PCV assembly (available for sale at a discount, see below)
- new engine wire harness (have a spare, but cannot guarantee the exact model fit)
- new sender impulse sensor HARNESS ($5 part, available, with a $1,000 installation bill)
- a Volvo enthusiast who has the capability and time to put it back together.
The car will benefit from core maintenance and from installing the following available parts purchased from IPD:
The total here is $1,733, purchased with a 10% military discount. I'll let it all ($1,955 value) go for $1,500.
