  • 1970 Volvo 142 for sale

The perfect candidate for autocross, vintage racing class or summer cruising. I would consider a daily with an engine rebuild! Owned for 5 years with lots of mods. These are getting harder to find in good running condition that haven't been left outside. Always garaged since rust repairs made! Older bored B20 0.30 over by Voltech with Mahle pistons and IPD Weber carb kit

240 tunnel with later M41 and OVERDRIVE! Short shifter added. No more pudding stir stick shifter. Much more responsive and fun to drive. Also runs at 70 mph all day long!
    IPD sway bars
    240 air dam
Lowered 3" with new Bilstein $hocks on all 4 corners
IPD Poly bushings front and back
Volvo 740 15" deep dish wheels with lower profile tires completes the look
Later model grill and headlight buckets (personally liked them more!)
Seat covers from later model 142. Foam and webbing from VP Auto. Super comfy!
Comes with additional straight driver and passenger doors, hood and trunk.
    New fuel sending unit
Push button start, overdrive switch and rear fog light switch added.
    Polyurethane steering couplers
    New undercoating after rust repair
    Rebuilt heater motor
Rear Bosch driving light for added safety at night
New seat cushions and webbing added when the seats were recovered.
Paint is worm, but has the patina look without any surface rust
    Always garaged!
Newer battery is mounted in the trunk to clean up the engine bay
    New heater hoses
Added carpets and mats from a 240. Originally it had a rubber mat.
New rear diff seal. Cleaned and painted when I finished the suspension.
Newer brake pads, driveline bearing, e brake cable, calipers painted and much more!
New dash bulbs. Much brighter than stock. Ribbon style speedo is awesome!
    Rear spare tire "cheeks" removed
Polished all the chrome trim to remove the faded clear coat
New front corner yellow blinker lenses from VP Auto
Fat Mat sound deadener added to the entire floor to keep things quiet.
    All fluids changed out regularly.
Moto-Lita steering wheel, cool stickers added to the popper windows and hula dancer for an extra 10 HP
    Title in hand!
    Cons:
Leaks oil (I think it's the rear main seal) Talk to Rob at Voltech for a sorted B20 or a new seal
Speakers need to be installed but who needs them with the B20?!
Engine is ready for a refresh but still runs great.
Ride is rougher than a stock 142, but corners on rails.
I also have another B20 I might sell for the right price.
You're not going to find another classic is this price range. Many smiles per gallon!
$7,800.00 or possible trade for something also running and driving that has character.
    PICTURES COMING SOON!

Here are the extra doors with surface rust and battery box in the trunk. They're really straight and almost 100% rust free! The rust remover causes rust over time. Go figure!
